My Story

I know how it feels when you're told to let things go, but don't know how. SHIFT was born from pain. A few years ago, I went through a breakup that left me in shock. I suffered from sleepless nights, 
paralyzing anxiety and felt so alone. Only by feeling and expressing my emotions and physically moving through them was I able to come back home to myself. The more I danced, the more free I felt.   
 
SHIFT is  a method I created to help you process your emotions.  By combining mindfulness, dance choreography, guided movement and self-expression, we are able to identify our feelings, release them and come back home to who we are.

Our Mission

We live in a culture where we don’t allow ourselves to process our emotions, and what you don’t process in your mind will often find its way into your body, impacting your physical and mental health.  


At SHIFT we believe your emotions are valid.  We understand how frustrating it can be to sit in fear, anxiety, depression – or what it’s like to feel stuck, in your mind and body.  

 

We believe that dance is a tool that can be used to express and release emotions effectively so that you can come back home to 
your true self.
